Here is my attempt at a better photo of the results of my most expensive pocket knife, I am beginning to figure out how to photograph it

An SLR camera with a macro lens and tripod would work best.  An auto-focus camera will struggle with the highly polished surface. You'll have to mess around with lighting to get the reflection in the edge you're looking for.  A light box would help with that.

If focus is the problem, one trick is to use a dummy focus target.  Hold something fairly large next to the edge, hold the button half way down so the camera will focus on the object and the edge is also in focus, then remove the object and take the picture.  If that doesn't result in good focus, you can get the camera to focus on a nearby object and then move the camera so it's focused where you want it.  It can be difficult to tell if the edge is exactly in focus so expect some trial and error.

You can also try using a gorilla pod and the 2 second self timer feature in the camera.

Ok...I'll be the one to ask. What are your prices going to be on sharpening?

Depends on the knife of course, this system will not accept anything with a Blade thickness over 3/16 of an inch. They are working on adapters for it and I will of course buy one also there will be an adapter for serrated blades in the future but for now the prices are for pocket knives

Up to 1000 Grit utility blade $12.00
Up to 1600 Grit Mirror Polish $17.00
Up to 5 Micron Mirror Polished $25.00

These fees plus $7.00 for return Priority Mail shipping, these fees include Taxes that I will be paying as this is a Buisness Edited by willis68

Very pretty BUT

does it cut?  :hiding:

Like a laser beam, it is truly scary how sharp this machine gets a knife and I honestly thought Microtech had extremely sharp knives out of the box, this makes them seem dull

Yep. I'll probably be a customer.

I put my ZT 350 in the mail today. The recurve blade is a little bit more but still a good price. I never have been good at recurves so I'm anxious to see how it turns out.
