TGO Emails -- Switched to a new deliver service. How's it working?

One of the problems we have fought with over the years has been having our forum emails blocked by various Internet Service Providers (ISPs) or email providers.   I have switched us over to a new service this morning that seems to be providing more reliable delivery of automatically generated emails from the forum.

 

By this I mean emails sent to help new members activate their accounts, or existing members to update with a new mail address of their own.  Also this affects notices that the forum sends out when you subscribe to a thread, or receive a PM, among other things.  All of the reasons that the forum can send you an email, and your ability to change whether or not it does, can be managed at the following link in your "My Settings" area.

I am curious to see how many of you suddenly start receiving email from TGO again now that I've made this change.  I am equally curious to see if any of you suddenly stop receiving them.  If that seems to be the case for you, please allow 24-48 hours for your own Internet or Email providers to update their domain records to see our anti-spam DNS records and recognize that our new mail service is "authoritative" for the TGO site.

I use a Gmail account and have Comcast/Xfinity. I've had no issues receiving emails from forums/threads I've subscribed to. I can't recall receiving emails for anything else in quite some time.

I've never had a problem. Hopefully, the new service will work.  If not, I understand that SendGrid is the king of deliverability

I've used Gmail for a good while on here and have always received TGO thread subscriptions, etc.

I'll keep you posted on any changes I notice, if any. :up:

Same here for me. I use Google Apps which runs through Gmail.

It never worked for me until a few days ago, when I suddenly started getting emails. Its all good now.

 

That's what I was hoping would start happening for some of you.  Good to hear!

I use to get emails from TGO when I would have a PM from a member but I have not got them in a couple months now...............

I didn't get notified of a 2 PM's today. First time in a few months that I didn't receive an email. Hopefully updating my info will fix it.

HI David;

 

I too use gmail and have before today never had any issue receiving updates to threads I follow etc...but as of this morning I am no longer being notified.

I checked my spam folder and nothing there...

 

Any thoughts or suggestions?

So what's the cure? I still receive email notifications from everywhere else I frequent. I'm interwebz challenged so please keep that in mind if you respond.

Something has changed today.  I'm aware that emails aren't sending suddenly and am trying to resolve it.

No one is receiving mail right now.  I worked on it for about 5 hours today and still had no luck.  I'll let you guys know when it should be working again.
