Question about scope rings

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)
I was going to buy these for mounting a scope on my Ruger 10/22 Takedown.

Can I use these with the weaver rail supplied by Ruger?

Or, do I need to also buy one of these picatinny rails?

I have no clue what is being shipped today but in previous years their "picatinny" rails didn't seem to fit all types of tactical rings. I would buy a decent quality rail and then those rings will work. Those rings are great for the price, I have a few sets.

....

Ruger shows that all 10/22s still ship with the combo Weaver/tipoff rail, so those should fit fine. Rail uses 4 screws, use a dab of blue loctite on them, it'll be solid.
