Is it just me???

Now that spring has sprung the return of those ice cream trucks with the annoying loudspeakers blasting out "Hello!" and crappy music has followed. Every time I hear one I consider getting my rifle out and blasting their loudspeaker off their roof! Is it just me that hate those trucks?

I think this means your are normal.  Some of us are approaching the cranky old curmudgeon stage.

Would you prefer this updated Ice Cream Music?

Nope! I don't like the bumpity-bump of stereos so loud that you can hear the crappy cars rattling apart either.

I need to move to the country. :(

I did that 20 plus years ago.  I have enough land that I don't see another home from mine and the occasional gun fire is normal.  The bad news is that low bass thump travels well through the hollows and it's becoming way too frequent these days.  Usually 2 Cmag dumps on full auto will shut it up for a while.

I thought that thing only drove around my neighborhood. Annoying as hell but I have to admit sometimes that clapping gets my groove going, lol.

I guess they all use the same soundtrack now.  This is it here:

Hell, I start digging in my pockets for money as I run out the front door when I hear that crap.

Screwball baby!!!! Bubblegum in the bottom. 2 treats in one and curb side delivery to boot. How the hell could you not love the ice cream truck. BUT, hey that was along time ago in a town far away. Edited by AtomicRooster

A long time ago in a town far away they simply rang a bell, and they didn't wear the damned thing out, either!

I used to live in the hood where the truck would play Christmas music and added an obligatory bump bump.

Guessing he ice cream man didn't know Christmas tunes.

I see an ice cream truck and all I can think of is "Big Worm" from the movie Friday. Oh and perverts. How did ice cream men get a bad wrap?

The music is a bit annoying, but for some reason whenever I hear it I do get a little excited. Even being in my 30's I will run it down if I see it to get my ice cream...

We hear it by work on occasion and if I can catch him, I'll get half the shop out there and everyone is always pretty happy to get their ice cream treat.

I turned my phone up and played that video, within 10 seconds my 10 year old son was in my room looking for the ice cream truck!! I wish I could call turkeys that well.

During the hot months an ice cream truck comes down our street three or four times a week on a special run for an autistic child.  Knowing the mission, it's sweet music to all the neighbors' ears.

That's funny right there!

Where I live in West Knox I hear them all the time but I do understand how they make enough money to make it worth it. Is the ice cream $20 a bar or something?
