Change for the $20 bill

Recommended Posts

Personally, I don't think simply being president warrants the honor of being on currency as I don't think it warrants naming a ship after them.

I would generally agree since we have far more POTUSes than bill denominations, but as part of a limited time series I think it could be kind of interesting. I guess we'll never see this on $1 bills since they're doing it on $1 coins, but that's kind of a shame because almost nobody uses $1 coins. Maybe my idea above about each state picking an important person could be the next $1 coin series.

Don't worry everyone, soon paper currency will be a thing of the past. Electronic currency will be the way of the future, makes it easier to track and that way you'll be able to only use your allotment. Easier for them to get ahold of it to. Heck, look at Japan and some countries in Europe, already setting limits on withdrawals. Mr. DJT has even suggest scalping a percentage of everyone's accounts to help with the country's debt. No sir, I don't like it. Reminds of the old saying, going to something or other in a hand basket.....

And yes, Lincoln was a Republican, the first one in fact.

Why? She was a gun-totin', democrat killin' republican. What's the problem?

Think the libs will ever figure this out? Their heads will either explode or the more likely scenario is they will just change history.

Andrew Jackson was an iconic American who was considered in his time as the second George Washington and whose own saga, from Revolutionary War orphan to war hero to president, became a metaphor for the emerging American identity. He was truly a self-made man who transformed our republic from a democracy in name to a democracy indeed. He inspired other presidents such as Abraham Lincoln and was revered by both Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton among others. And yes, he also owned slaves, signed the Indian Removal Act of 1830, and pressed for its implementation. All of these stories are on display at The Hermitage.

Since the announcement, we have received many calls, emails, and tweets from individuals asking what they can do about the proposed change. In the spirit of Jacksonian democracy where the voice of every citizen matters, we suggest that expressing your opinion to your elected officials and Secretary Lew is appropriate.

I'm on the change it side myself. Consider his hatred for central bankers I always found it a bit amusingly perverse that he was on a central bank note.
