Don't know if this belongs here or not but I picked up several old helmets.  One or 2 are German, one looks british and the other two may be russian? The russian ones look newer like 80s but the other 3 look like WW2 stuff.  Is anybody here up to date with old helmets? really wondering what I have and what the value is on these things.  I'm wanting to sell them as I do not collect helmets.  I have a hard time posting pictures here, I could email them to someone or txt them if you thought you knew what they are. Thanks for any help

I've got a small collection as well. Kinda specialized but I'd like to see the pics.

Did you figure out which Mosin you have?  I had to resist the urge to buy it from you as my next Mosin will be an M44.

Yours has the hex receiver, which is much more hip, slick and cool than the round ones.

Also, you are a benefactor, so you can post them for sale on TGO.

If you want to do that you can text me the pics and I'll post to your sale add with the pics.

Send me another pm if you want to do that and I'll give you my mobile.

The fifth picture is a German Paratrooper helmet from the Nazi era. Some of the first pictures remind me of the helmet Dutch soldiers and The French wore patterned after our own. Before Kevlar.
The last one looks to be a Dutch hement from the 50's..

EBay is a good place to look at the pictures to help narrow it down. I use it often for research in to many thing to get me on the right track.

I hope others can chime in. Edited by R1100R

The last one looks to be a reproduction of the Brodie style WW1 helmet... used by many many countries.. hard to say exactly without closer examination. I say reproduction because that's in ridiculously good shape for something over a hundred years old. Same for the Nazi helmet. I'd guess both are reproductions.

The M1 with the cross and crown on it is interesting. It looks authentic. Can't find the unit designation but I'm guessing either British or Danish (Brits cause a lot of the military art of the period looks like that and Danes because of the white cross on the red background) but that's pure speculation. The M1 was widely used by Brits, Dutch and many others post ww2.The second one down looks Italian, but it's hard to say... lots of similar helmets in various parts of europe.

I have a Belgian WW1 helmet, complete with the leather innards. You can still make out the Belgian flag painted on one side. It's super cool. I agree that if the last pic is a WW1, it's almost certainly a reproduction in that condition.

The last 2 are for sure reproductions lol.  The only original one from WW2 is the middle one.  still not 100% sure what that one is worth or where it came from

If you can figure out where it came from you'll have a better chance w/ pricing it. A lot depends on the condition. Does it have the liner? What condition is the leather in? A M1 from ww2 w/ 101st airborne markings is going for $350 or so on ebay. I assume that would be the high end of the market. Unmarked helmets are going for anywhere from 50 - 100 bucks depending on condition. Research that logo... I expect that's your best chance to figure it out.

It has CF and a crown on the inside.  I was able to find that it was for Denmark, they called it the M48 and it is original with a great liner.  Thanks guys
