NRA firearm insurance?

Recommended Posts

I'm getting these emails about firearm insurance valued at up to $2500. Has anyone taken them up on this and is it worth messing with? It says free, but I'm thinking it opens up the door to upgrading it to higher values that ain't free. Anyone?

$2500 is a good start I guess..?

Yes, your assumption is correct, they want you to buy more. Check with your homeowners for a rider, they may be as or cheaper than that stuff. Edited by Sam1

Should you need to make a claim, some of the requirements include needing receipts for them, pics and descriptions, professional assessments and valuations of all items, and of course putting up with the letters telling you that you need more coverage.

Thanks Sam1. I'm thinking a rider would be best anyway.

Thanks to you too hipower. This sounds like something you buy but never get to use due to the hoops they require you to jump through. I'm gonna pass.

I signed up for the $2500. I'm also planning on doing an extra one, but haven't figured out which amount of coverage yet. Somehow the number I'll need keeps going up....shhhhhh don't tell the wife
