I watched that moon rise while I was out coon hunting. It was a crystal clear night, which made for a spectacular show. That photo is as close as you can get without having seen it yourself. Great catch.

It was actually partly cloudy when I went out to shoot a bit, and the wind was pushing the clouds through at a pretty good clip. That's a 15-second exposure; hence the "wispy" appearance of the sky. It was pure dumb luck that during the exposure, the clouds masked the moon enough to keep it from being overexposed.

What settings did you use?

Ive got a Kodak that has all those SLR settings,but never quite understood how to useem....the PaS settings are just so much easier
