Best way to get sizing lube off rifle cases

Recommended Posts

Most of the time when I resize rifle brass. I just take a rag and wipe off the sizing lube. But that is for small runs. Now that I have a AR 15, I have a lot of .223/5.56 brass to resize. Don't want to wipe off every piece of brass. Can I just put the resized brass back in the tumbler with corn media and tumble the lube off?

Thanks, gearyr

Yes, you can tumble it off.  But you really should use a thin enough amount of lube that its a non-issue, you shouldn't have to do this at all.

I second the Hornady one shot. Take about a quarter coffee can of brass, spray and shake it a couple of times then go to town.

I'll re-join this with further reflection. Hornady One-Shot leaves a residue(I use it 90% of the time for about 5yrs now and 10's of thousands of rounds),I tumble it off. I also use imperial sizing wax and Lee sizing lube. I tumble it all off.
