Tactical Shotgun Sling

Recommended Posts

I purchased a tactical shotgun earlier this year and have been looking for a tactical sling. I thought I wanted a 2 point sling until I spoke to a friend who thought that the 2 point was far inferior to the newer style single point.

I'm not that knowledgeable so I thought I would throw it out and see what everyone thinks. With all the military and law enforcement members on here I'm sure someone has had some experience. Which is better?

I have had good luck with a Blue Force Gear single point. It uses a loop that goes around the grip of the stock and attaches to the sling with a Fastex type buckle. I makes it easier to shoot from either shoulder, go prone, or let the shotgun hang and transition to the pistol.

My current 870 sling set-up (used with a SpeedFeed Tac IV-S stock).

The 2-point sling is not inferior to the single-point...I use Vicker's BFG 2-points for my carbines.

I use a single-point for my 870 because it fits the way I have the gun set up alittle better.

I set my Shot gun up on the same single point system as my AR. I made a velcro Stock harness on the Sgun that clips to a D-ring on my vest. The D-ring also clips to my AR but just a little different set up. Works Great. I was never a fan of having a sling around your neck.
