$50 finders fee....

Recommended Posts

To anyone who can find me an in stock 50 BMG bolt gun. Local or nationwide, don't care.

It can be an AR15 upper or complete gun. Single shot or magazine fed.

I will pay you when I order from your link.

This is a no BS offer, I guarantee I will pay and you can trust me. I will not buy then refuse to pay.

If multiple posts have the same link then the one with the earliest time stamp will get the finders fee.

There is one sitting on the counter at the Cash America pawn shop in Dunlap, Tennessee. It is a single shot, but I don't know the brand or price.

I am really wanting a Tactilite but I do not trust their Spartan line. I hear the welds holding it together are not the best.

I would order on but the lead times on the Tactilite uppers is 6+ months.

Also, 18" is not long enough for my likes.

Ohh, I see. Apparently the graph I'm looking at only shows barrel availability, I thought it was referring to the entire barreled unit. You're right, the Taclite T1 says 16 week lead time for the receiver, my fault

Can't find one in Dunlap. Is it Hixson or Cahattanooga?

As soon as I get free I will call every pawn shop in Chattanooga to find one.

No Cash America Pawn shops have any 50's.

$5K is a little more than I want to spend right now. Prefer to find something under $4K and would REALLY like to find something under $3K.

My #1 choice would be Zel Custom followed closely by a Serbu then a Armalite AR50.

Something like this? http://50bmg.net/als_50_conversion.php  They say around $2,500.00 mark for the kit but I don't know anything about it. If it works out use the $50.00 to take your wife out to dinner, she deserves a night out with you for letting you spend so much time helping out on this board.

Don't worry, she is well taken care of. She has to be if she has to put up with me.

Time to make some calls.

PM the contact info on the Flintvilld gun if you would please. I suspect it is heavier than I am wanting but you never know.

I PMed my cousin who works at Bentons Shooter Supply. She said they usually have one on the shelf but it sold. Says there is a week lag time from the distributor. You might give them a give and see what they have in their supply chain. I didn't ask brands or models. 423-338-2008

I am having one built. It will use a Lothar Walther barrel at 29". It is a 41V50 barrel that is hardened. Whole gun should come in at under 20 pounds. The company that has been building them for close to 20 years. I have not found a single problem or complaint about them anywhere, I am sure at least one customer hasn't been happy but I cannot seem to find him. They are custom built to the customer's specs at the time of order and what amazes me is they only have a week lead time. Not like I will be able to shoot it anytime soon because of my surgery coming up but at least it will be waiting. Matter of fact I have no plans of shooting this thing much at all.

Seems like everyone is waiting on Mossberg of Mexico to send their barrels north. Every single manufacturer I have spoke to in the past week uses Mossberg barrels and every one of them is out of stock for the foreseeable future. Makes you wonder what the hell is going on we do not know about. And from everything I have read about the 50 Lothar Walther barrels it should be a shooter with decent ammunition.

Ligamec is who I ordered it from. He makes an ultralight model and that is what I ordered. Cost was not too bad either considering what I was planning on spending.

My only planned change is to install a more effective muzzle brake, perhaps I will put my $50 finder's fee towards it.

Not going to fool with reloading it. It isn't a gun that will be shot a lot and the cost isn't too bad. If I want to try a box of "match" ammunition it is THAT expensive. Figure it would never even be shot beyond 500 yards.

Thanks for the offer. Edited by Dolomite_supafly

So... glad you found something. Hope the surgery goes well...

As far as not shooting it for a while, would it be therapeautic if I came shot it for you? I will bring my own ammo... :-)

Seriously though, hope everything goes well with the doc.

I was going to tell you to keep the $50 and just let me come up and put some rounds through it ;)

Good for you man, make sure you post pictures

Are you buying the entire gun or just the upper and barrel? I'm interested in hearing how it works out because either the completed upper or complete rifle is priced right.
