Two of my best friends have bought them. One loves his more than any 22lr semi auto he has ever tried. The other friend has a shipping label on the way because it needs to go back to S&w. The customer service representative says they have not had any complaints, but over on the S&W forums there have been a few issues with failure to feed. However, it is very few reports.

I bought an SW22 Victory about 6 weeks ago and absolutely love it. There are reports of FTF and FTE problems over on the S&W and RFC forums with subsonic ammo, but after over 500 rounds, I have yet to have a single issue with mine. Most of the ammo I shoot is subsonic, it's what I normally shoot with my Ruger/Kidd 10/22. I've shot Wolf Match Target (1050 fps), SK Standard Plus (1050 fps), CCI Standard Velocity (1070 fps), Eley Club (1085 fps) and Norma TAC-22 (1100 fps). Today I shot about 100 rounds of Federal AutoMatch (1200 fps) without a hiccup. I was looking to buy a either a Ruger 22/45 or a Browning Buckmark. But after I handled the SW22 at my LGS and saw this 22plinkster video, my mind was made up.

I was an early adopter and managed to snare a threaded barrel version the end of January.  Out of the box fit and finish is outstanding.  The pistol has been 100% reliable through just under 1000 mixed rounds, including subsonic with a mounted suppressor.  Field stripping is a piece of cake, similar to the Browning BuckMark, but faster and easier.  Adjustable rear fire sight is perfect for my 75 year old eyes.  Included detachable rail with fixed rear sight is made of composition material but dead accurate when mounted.  I have six factory magazines, all run perfectly.  Out of the box accuracy and trigger pull is equal to the older un-modified Ruger Mark II series. My trigger pull measured 3.5 pounds.

 

Subjective opinion-  I wear a size 11 glove.  The grips are thick enough for my hand, but need some more front to back depth.  Also, the bull SS barrel, is a little nose heavy.  Larger after market grips and a VQ target barrel could make both of these complaints go away.

 

Executive summary:  Buy one, at the current selling price, you need it.

Sounds like a winner.  I think it is great concept on a proven design/action.  I didn't think there would be another reasonably priced .22 pistol that would interest me after I got my Nelson Custom .22LR 1911 conversion, but this one grabs my interest.
