Wondering what most folks do?

Do you carry your handgun on your person with ammo in the chamber or just the magazine full? Hopefully I said this clear enough for ya'll to answer.

Thanks

...Do you carry your handgun on your person with ammo in the chamber ...?

Common topic on every SD forum. The answer is going to be 95+% yes.

And should be 100% yes, once you understand the safe handling of your weapon.

If you have doubts, the standard drill is to carry your semi-auto cocked with no round in the chamber, day after day, draw and re-hoster it day after day, etc, until you understand that it won't fire unless the trigger is pulled, and you are fully confident that you WON'T pull that trigger unless you intend to.

And my answer is, yes, of course, I carry one in the chamber of my XD and my Kahr.

Yes. One in the pipe in my P3AT and either my Sig 229 or Glock 23.

Lets end the thread now before it gets dumb.

CC when necessary, OC everywhere else.

Red status at all times.

RED status ?

:shhh:

P.S. - I hope you've got one of these group_hcp.png while you're CC'ing and OC'ing.

I've recently got me a Kahr CW9 and carry it IWB in the small of the back. I carry it everywhere I can legally. I am carrying it with one in the chamber. I was just wondering how most folks were carrying.

I have also ordered an IWB Split decision holster from High Noon. Should get it soon.

Red status is cocked and locked with the safety on.

And yes I do, lol.

If someone has their permit, there is the small icon under their name on the left of a post if they choose to declare that in their preferences. That is always another way to gauge the answer to this question as well.

All day, everyday. The cylinder is full. Never leave my bedroom without it.

My Kahr PM9 rides in a DeSantis Nemisis pocket holster, and it goes into my pocket before I put my pants on in the morning. Round in the chamber always.:D

Condition 1 with a 1911 concealed. I'm not a fan of OC.

Sometimes i'll dare to carry my Maverick nerf gun if its sunny outside and i feel like a bada**.

If i feel particularly bad i'll carry suction cup darts. Nothing says one shot stop like a dart to the gooch.
