De-mil or "pulled" bullets

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have read many times about reloaders using "pulled" bullets for plinking and practice rounds.  What are your opinions and/or experience with them?  Like or dislike?

Also, where would be a good place for me to get some to try?  I'm especially interested in 30 cal plinkers for a 300blk build.

thanks

I've loaded and  shot pulled .30 cal. 147 gr. in my .308 and .30-06. Also some 55 gr. fmj in my .223.  They did just fine.

I don't remember where I got them though. Sorry. Also I don't know what's going on with this underline...............

I am not sure the military uses anything appropriate to 300 BO.  The 308s might work but will be pretty heavy.

i used them in 308 and 5.56.  never had any problems with them.  don't know whom has any for sale.  i got them several years ago and some pull down powder.

I've shot jillions of 168gr .308 pulls over the years - some at 600 meters. They work just as well as any other bullet I've shot.

Dlm37015 usually has them in various weights.

I've got around 1500 inert .308 tracers that I'm going to try to find some 300blk load data for. Bought them for next to nothing a few years ago. Figured they would be good enough for me to punch paper with anyway.

I've only shot 50 BMG pulled surplus bullets and they shocked me on how well they performed. As good and better than any new ball ammo I shot in 50 BMG.
