This just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- Disgraced Subway spokesman Jared Fogle suffered a bloody nose and other injuries after an inmate attacked him in January, TMZ is reporting.

Inmate Steven Nigg, 60, went after Fogle in the recreation yard at Englewood Prison in Colorado on Jan. 29. Nigg pushed Fogle to the ground and then punched him in the face, according to the report.

Fogle ended up with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck. Nigg, who’s serving time for a weapons charge, suffered a small cut on his left hand. He was placed in solitary confinement after the "ambush," according to the report.

TMZ reported that Nigg’s family said the inmate was upset because there were so many child sex predators assigned to the facility.

Fogle was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of child pornography and engaging in sex with minors. His attorneys have appealed the sentence.

I guarantee that he is not having a good time in prison...child molesters have a tough time in the pen and throw in his celebrity status and I guarantee you he's getting worn out in ways he didn't think was possible...#NoSympathy

Then you get convicted of child diddling and become one in prison for Bubba.

My uncle was a guard at a max prison for about 12 years.... Fogle will be lucky to live out his sentence, he better be a better politician than anyone currently running for office if he has any hope to survive.

I read another article that said Jared's in solitary for his own safety.  He gets out of his cell 1 hr/day and during that time they screwed up with the gates between areas that allowed the other inmate a shot at him.  The inmate that beat him up had to be pulled off him and said afterward that whatever they do to punish me doesn't matter, it was worth it, and there's 100 other guys itching for the chance to do the same thing. 

 

Apparently they transferred Jared to another prison, again for his own safety, and didn't publish where he was for security reasons, which apparently is a violation of a freedom of information act.

I've got a cousin who is pretty high up in a maximum security prison as well who pretty much said the exact same thing...
