Kiawah Island, SC.  The deer at this resort like to play on the dunes and beach and will come up and lick your hands and arms.

Not much different than middle TN deer!

I think they are almost domesticated around Sumner county.

I honk at them and they'll just look up as if to say hey I'm busy eating here!

There are many deer in the Radnor Lake park that are pretty tolerant of humans as well. I was surprised how close they would let you get. Never tried to get close enough to pet one.

Me either. I saw one snap the spine on a neighbors dog with a kick and decided I didn't want to get that close.

We used to have a "neighborhood deer" that thought she was a dog and would play with the kids.  Sadly she disappeared earlier this year.

I have one that comes up to my back fence. Pays the dogs no mind. Head down no mind. I think the ex was feeding her though.
