I just got an email that these are back in stock at Sportsmans Guide. I would jump on this if I didn't already order from SOG. I wish this would've come in yesterday, but that's how these things work. I dunno how manny they have ofc but it's the best you'll find. I also read that the corrosive ammo isn't as bad as it sounds for people that may be hesitant to buy it. You just have to clean your rifle after shooting which you'll do(I hope) anyway. Anyway, I'll try to find said article on it.

 

I believe it's two 440 tins shipped in a crate. Man I really wish this would've hit me yesterday, lol...

Cleaning up after shooting corrosive ammo is not that big of a deal. Many use Windex or hot soapy water before the regular cleaning. A mixture of Ballistol and water may work as well but I'v never tried it. I now only use WWII-era USGI issue bore cleaner. Bought about 12 cans of it 7 years ago and still have 10 left. It was specifically designed for corrosive ammo. It's still out there if you look hard enough.

Can't comment on the price of that ammo as it is what it is. That's not double what it was a few years ago but close. Best not to worry about it too much and enjoy your new M39. It's the manliest of the Mosins. Edited March 8, 2016 by Garufa

This ammo was also apparently the rumored "second shipment" that's been inbound for a while now, the major importers are all saying there's none in the pipeline for now ...
