I have called and killed around 30 or so this year, they have been real bad on my families property.

Hey Hunt,

If you ever need assistance I would love to come help you! I want to learn from someone who does it. I've even got the land to do it around my place too. What sort of setup?

i've called in and killed about 20 this year so far, i quit once it got hot this summer and never really started back up hardcore. i'd love to be out there right now doing it with this cold weather, but the deer hunters frown upon it and i hunt alot of public lands. as soon as season closes in January, i'm sure i'll be right back out there calling them in...

Same here after deer season is over I will be back at it. Bonker I use my AR15, hand calls and I also have an electric call. I also use decoys as a visual aid. It is alot of fun. Maybe we all can get together and go sometime.

I would also be interested in learning to hunt them. If you guys would allow a tagalong, I'd love to go.

I also would tag along not even to shoot, I have some videos and a call or 2 and would love to know how the setup works. My wife tells me I have to be blowing through the call wrong because it sounds like something is dieing. I think if I could setup and call them in she would go with me.

I know you can't use Electronic calls on turkey and fox, but I can't get a clear yes or no on that in the hunting guides on yotes. Hunting101, have you gotten clear info that they are good to go? I have a multi call that I have not used for yote hunting yet. I use my reed calls with decent results so far.

Seems like every time I see yotes I don't have a weapon with me.

You are allowed to use e-calls. Just make sure it doesn't have like turkey or deer calls on it during those seasons. If you can just get a coyote/crow call CD or tape to be on the safe side.

Some pretty good info here http://www.tnpredators.com/index.php

Start by asking some farmers in or around your area if you could hunt them, a lot of times they will to protect their cattle, etc. If you need help getting started all together let us know we will be glad to give you any info we can.

Please indulge me a question . . . I live outside the Green Hills area in Nashville. About 6 weeks ago I saw a LARGE doglike animal running between our houses; larger and reddish looking fur. Saw it again this morning . . . it was about 25 yards from me; basically uninterested in my presence until it saw me, and then really ran away.

I do NOT think this was a dog, but a yote. Since I have never seen one, I am not sure.

Opinions please . . .

Thanks to all!

Was it a chupacabra? My 6 year-old is convinced we have those around here...It would make sense in Green Hills, I think they feed on Volvo's and Birkenstocks.:koolaid::D

So which is it? M'Boro or Linden?

I'm in Dickson. When deer season is over, let's get serious about it, ok? I'd love to go, and I will buy lunch.

Me, jcochran88, and Rightwinger have been kicking around a Dickson Co. hunt. Will let you know.

I am originally from Linden but live in the Boro now. I do go to Linden about 2 or 3 times a month to hunt. We need to go.

Could be a Coydog.....Male Coyote and a female domestic dog breed.

There are some 'yotes I believe in the Green Hills area. A lady I used to work with lost her cat to some. I've house sat in that area and heard them.

The lady who lost her cat lives one street over from Estes.
