Lebanon PD offer safe place for private gun sales

Thank you everyone for your positive responses to our Safe Exchange Zone. We really think it will provide a safe environment for commerce. So, in addition to the Lebanon Police Department site, we are providing a secondary site at our Public Safety/Emergency Services Unit location, 1017 Sparta Pike. Gun exchanges WILL BE ALLOWED at this location. The reason gun exchanges are not allowed at the police department is due to our City Court process and general public access to the department. We want to safeguard citizens and civilian personnel at that location. However, our ESU location, while also safe and under 24 hour surveillance, does not have public access or court proceedings. The picture below shows the area designated for the Safe Exchange Zone, and signs will be posted in the very near future. We hope this will satisfy all the needs of those wishing to participate. Again, thank you for your support.

Sounds like an opportunity for the conspiracy theorist to thing this is really a way for the police to watch who's selling guns to who and record the exchange.
