Well I finally got the email letting me know the plates are being shipped out. Some of us may be able to get out plates this week or next. Woot woot!!

I just picked up my plate. She's a beauty. I watched the lady sort the plates looking for mine and counted a total of 9 people in Loudon county that got one.

Nice.  I received my letter and plate number today!  It will probably be next week before I can stop by and pick it up.

I think what's neat about these plates is that so few of us will have them. Aside from the message of course.

So these plates were a one time thing ?

For some reason I thought you could get one any time after they started making them.

I was under the same impression. I would assume you can still order one.

You can get them at any county clerk's office in the state. A smaller county may not have any on hand, but they can get them.

Saw my first one this week. One of the contractors that has been doing a project for me has them on his truck. He said he picked them up on Monday.

Perhaps I was wrong in my post last week. I had assumed that the other 8 plats I saw the lady sift through were already sold. I didn't take into consideration each country will likely keep some on hand.

Does anyone know where the extra money goes?  I know part of the money I pay for my NRA tag goes to youth shooting sports.
