I would have thought this would hit 1K in about 3 days in TN.  Waiting patiently :waiting:

Really. It is strange. A sign of the times? Are people afraid to be seen with something even remotely associated with the Old South and anything that smacks of personal independence? Or just too broke to spend the extra money for  the tag?

I like it but I find that my vehicle is broken into and and items inside of it ate stolen less often wit my "Hillary 2016" bumper sticker.

I'm still thinking about it. Not because of the content, but because I think a bright yellow tag may look godawful on my car.

I'm with you. On my 79 Bronco, it'd be good. On my brand new car? Heck no! No way Jose. It'd stick out like a sore thumb. As much as I want one, I just can't.

I saw a guy this weekend from Virginia with one.  I didn't know they had one.  It was pretty awesome.

865 is the current count.  It'll get there.

If you're even considering wanting one go ahead and comit. A refund is always an option and you won't be out anything except knowing your fellow patriots will be sporting an awesome tag.

Maybe once you see it on a few vehicles you'll be ready to have one of your own.

I wonder how much longer we will have to wait from the time it hits 1000 to the date of pickup. Just curious really.

I was wondering the same thing.  I figure probably a couple of months to get them printed and delivered to the various county clerk's offices.  Gut feeling is if they hit 1,000 in September, it would be January or February before we saw them.

I contacted the Friends of Sycamore Shoals this morning and here's the answer they provided about time-to-production:

We REALLY appreciate your support and that of the people who follow your TNGunOwners site!

As to the process once we hit 1,000 pre-orders, our information is that 4 to 6 months would be the period for final approval, visibility testing, production, etc., before distribution. We've got everything ready to go on our end, so as soon as we reach 1,000 we'll turn it in. We're hoping for 4 (or less) rather than 6.

If you renew your registration sticker in November, for example, whatever time is left when you get your Gadsden tag will carry over. Nobody will lose what they've already paid for.

Feel free to share that with others. We think that we'll hit the 1,000 mark by some point in October. We're averaging about 25 pre-orders per week, and at this moment, we have only 81 left to go!

Thanks!!!

4-6 months is a bit depressing. I can't believe it has taken them so long to get close to 1,000.  Maybe there are less of us than I thought.

We are at 927.  That is an increase of 40 from last week.  We only need 73 more .  The finish line is just a couple of weeks away.  Please keep promoting this.

Yep.  We could hit 1,000 this week if just some of the "fence sitters" would commit.  Spread the word, folks!
