AR15 Gas Block Adjustment tool

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Are you tired of carrying around the tools to adjust your gas block?  ME TOO!   It requires a LONG allen wrench for adjustment.  This could get bent easily.  I don't need to make frequent adjustments but as I play with different loads I have found accurate loads that don't cycle until I open up the gas flow.  SO I do need the tool from time to time.  To cut down on nasty crap in my action, I like to keep the gas as low as it will go and still cycle.  Running a can is nasty and any help keeping it clean is welcome.

I took two old crappy weaver rings, chucked them in the four jaw and mowed them down in the lathe.  Then flipped them and drilled a thru hole.  One I made a thumb screw for and my gas block adjustment tool holders were born.  Gave them squirt of engine paint and put them on.  Out of sight, out of mind and handy if I need it.
