another stupid plan that will no doubt not deter crime, unless you factor in the amount of $$$ that the crooked politicians will get when they award the contracts to some one giving them big bucks under the table. All gun laws are there for two things profit to some low life politician and to further degrade our 2A rights. With the final goal being the end of the second Amendment.

Do you think these companies would be willing to do custom firing pins? "PWND" or some other funny phrases might be worth paying a little cash for... ;)

One of the reasons I have always liked revolvers, don't have to crawl around picking up brass.

They actually have a chemical process that will illuminate-[if you will] the filled of serial numbers on firearms. The serial numbers can be filled completely off,and then some, and the process will still bring out the numbers under a microscope.

It kinda like rubbing lead on a piece of paper on The Wall only more advanced

So file as much as you may,but that MS will still be there for some nerd in a lab coat to revive it.The only way around it would be replacing the firing pin with a new one.Which I'm sure you would in turn need your serial number to order so I'm assuming you would end up with the same MS marking

Thank God for my Mill and Lathe!

The MACHINIST 2ND amendment creed.

I will give up my ability to construct a long hollow tube, enclosed on one end, and capable of propelling projectiles at high velocity when they pry the knowledge from my cold dead brain.

I think I might stock up on some raw materials; seamless 4140 tubing, drill rod and flat ground stock.:P

why would a criminal go to the trouble of filing off numbers?

I guess there may be one or two criminals who buy their guns through gun shops. As for the others, I doubt they care about it.
