I just filed a complaint with the BBB over the restriction of the sear and or sear block assembly. I work in the manufacturing industry and would not every think about not letting a customer buying a needed part.

I believe everybody that has needed a sear assembly and S&W refused to sell the part to them should file a complaint with the BBB and whoever else will listen.

Carnac The Great translation:

kcevans wanted a part that SW would only sell him if SW (or maybe an authorized service shop) installed it.

Maybe it's just me, but I have never worn one out. Seen some that had been "action -jobbed" that needed to be replaced.

Send it to them, I'm sure they will honor there lifetime warranty. I am guessing thats what they will tell the BBB also, if they bother to respond.
