Old Hickory Mall Jackson TN

Went there over the weekend only to find correctly worded signs posted. The problem is they were on a sign post in the parking lot. Not on the entrances to the parking lot, not on the doors to the stores but out in the middle of the parking lot. Now I did as I always do, I carried as usual as it was not posted on the entrances as per state law. I know what they wanted me to do but the state made the rules and if I have to play by them so does the mall.

I haven't gone to Old Hickory Mall in a long time and have no real desire too.

It seems I have read on other boards where they have dealt with HCP holders in the past. I'm sure they found out simply having it on their code of conduct was not legal.

Sounds like they are trying to become legally posted, even to the point they don't want you to carry in the parking lot. But doesn't sound like they have quite got it right yet.

But they only have about 5-6 parking lot entrances so doesn't sound like it will be too hard from the to finally get it right.

Sounds like th signage doesn't meet the requirements of the law. If so, conceal deep and go on about your business. If I were to go to that mall, I sure would.

Just for Gods sake, DON'T send them an email pointing out their signage mistake.

Oh boy, with those signs and the $6.50 an hour unarmed rent-a-cops, that'll surely keep the hoodrats at bay

I feel safer already :P

JCE - wont be patronizing the Jackson mall anytime in the forseeable future

I was at Old Hickory Mall today and saw that they have the correct signs up now. There is a sign when entering the parking lot and at the main entrance by Sears.

I dunno much about signs when entering parking lots, well other than directional signs. I am paying attention to the wack jobs out there driving.

I wouldn't go to that mall without carrying so I guess I won't be going back. Not missing much anyway.

AMEN on all accounts.
