HCP Renewal

Mine expired, so I went on down to the Blount County Department of Homeland Security on 1/29/16

Hour processing time with photo op.

Remitted $87 in cash

Received new HCP 2/13/16

The state granted legal permission to exercise my 2A Right expires 2023 Edited by Gotthegoods

So what paperwork is involved in renewal? I understand that you must attest to having 4 hours of review and range time too?  Any documentation involved? I will have to renew next year so I have loads of time to worry about it but since you brought it up................

No class required for a renewal if done within a certain amount of time from expiration date. Fill out the paperwork and pay the fee. You walk out with a receipt that covers you until the new card arrives in the mail.

You must renew before expiration to be able to continue to carry before new permit arrives.

 

After expiration, you have six months before you have to start over with the whole process.

OS is correct, 6 months expired = start fresh with class and background check.

No re-certification required.
