State Gun of TN

Where you aware that the State of TN doesn’t have an official gun?  Well, it’s time to change that.

The only choice that makes sense is the SKS, a badass combo of lead slinging, pig sticking perfection and awesomeness.

As fast and loose as the town harlot, you’ll never have to worry about her jamming and cleaning is largely optional.

The “sometimes she works and sometimes she don’t” safety has killed plenty of commies without putting our boys in harms way.  I mean, what’s not to love.

Are you with me?  If not, what do recommend?  Why?

When I went to the TN State Museum a few months ago, I took a boatload of pics of the guns displayed in the TN State Museum from the settling of the state up until sometime after the Civil War.  If anything, it should be one of those classics.

What kind of communist hootenanny is this? ;)

No way I'm getting behind a Soviet designed weapon as a state firearm.

A resolution to make the Barrett the official state rifle passed the House in April.

I can't imagine what connection the SKS has with TN history.

Cheers,

You know, a sense of humor wouldn't hurt anyone.

Do you really think I would propose a Soviet gun for our official gun?

I was channeling my best Hank Hill as I typed it.

I can't go sks.   This is an old state, and we probably had a "Tennessee rifle" or such musket,  and if not that, the 50 cal is much closer to home.

You obviously haven't been looking for a Russian brides lately have ya?

You know, I'm 52 and overweight.  How else do you propose that I get a young hottie?

So am I but I guess I got a keeper. She helps keep me in guns and whiskey. Besides a young hottie would probably give me a heart attack being that I'm 52 and overweight...

Barrett 50cal.

Born and raised TN https://www.barrett.net/about

The Barrett Model 82, there's absolutely no other choice, period, end of story.   :)

Here's a logo idea.

And we'll all be issued a Barrett with 50K rounds.  I want some armor-piercing incendiary tracer in my box.

We not even gonna talk about making David Crockett's rifle the state firearm?

Ol' Davy would have carried a Barrett if he had one.

I don't get the Barrett boners. It's awesome for what it can do, but it's not a very practical weapon for anything else and the weight of it is up there.

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk, because I felt that Oh Shoot wanted to know that particular bit of information.
