Outside shooting area

Years ago there was an old rock quarry that I could go to and just shoot a bunch, but now its privately owned and off limits. Does anyone know of a place I can go with my son to shoot some outside that isn't an official range, so we can rapid fire and stuff in the Clarksville area? Can't do much at the range other than your normal sighting-in stuff. Thanks.

A couple areas on Land BetweeN the Lakes you can. Or if you drive out to BFE in Herndon KY or Southside TN
