Informing a LEO that your carrying, at a traffic stop

Exactly why would you get shot? by going hey officer want to see my gun? Are you going to have it in your hand when the officer walks up to the windowa nd go Hey I've got a permit for this gun? Considering your not officer who has dealt with legally armed persons on a regular basis and illegally armed persons as well, your advise doesn't count. I know that I would prefer the weapon issue would not come up unless I ask if there is one in the car. By telling the officer that you have a gun, you immediately put them on a higher alert level and increase the tension. Trust me officers don't need anymore tension in their lives. Why would the officer pull you out of the car and throw you on the ground and cuff you? For not telling him your legally armed? Thats not illegal and if the officer does so, they are in the wrong. Stop living in what if land, most all officers you meet ouththere would never do any such thing. To get dragged out of your window means you have greater problems than carrying a gun with a permit, trust me.
