BCM KMR Handguards

I am a little late jumping on the Keymod thing. I am thrilled with these. The angle foregrips are BCM KAG's. They were a collaboration between BCM and Travis Haley. I never liked the Magpul angled foregrips, but I LOVE these.

Anyway, here they are. I won't get into why there are two. That kinda stuff just happens to me. The Stainless M4 profile barrel on the second rifle is new as well.

Thanks. They are my oldest AR's. Been upgraded a gazillion times. I might be about done. :)

Until something new and better comes out :)

I just can't bring myself to jump on the keymod train. Just say no to dickholes.

That aside, good looking rifles.

I was with you for a long time. I have changed my mind. SOLD. I'm not going to start throwing away Daniel Defense rails, but am tickled to death with these carbines.

There is a guy on another forum who was gushing over those rails when they came out.  He said they were the lightest rails at that level of quality, and I've not seen a bad review since.  I can't say I like the look of that whole keymod concept...but you won't catch me saying that BCM didn't make a quality product.  They are a very good "buy once, cry once" brand if you're not afraid of the price.

I replaced a Daniel Defense rail on one of those guns. So, price wasn't an issue. I didn't fall in love with the looks so much. Didn't fall in love until I put the rifle in my hands. Plain and simple fact... there is no reason to have front to back rails on a rifle.

I agree 100%!

Before Keymod and MLOK came to be, I was looking at replacing my A2 hand guard with one of those 3 gun style slick hand guards that you could bolt a 2" piece of pic rail up front for a light and that's it because I hated quad rails. And then Keymod came out and that's what all the cool kids have so...

Having the ability to move things around (mostly on the bottom rail) is always good for the different types of support positions you might encounter.  The keymod/m-lok setup seems complicated for that.

Not complicated at all. Captive screws. Slip them into the keyhole slots and tighten them. You can use small pic rail sections as well. For example, the two guns above will get short rail sections on the end so I can use my American Defense bipod mount.

I wasn't real jazzed about the looks. It's the main reason I held off. Now I'm sold. Great functionality, and compatible with all the picatinny stuff.

Agreed.

There are a couple of Inforce lights in my near future. I singed the eyebrows off that Fenix when I was sighting the gun in. Since the keymod rail will let you mount on the 45, I'm hoping there's some simple keymod solution.

I really like mine. That said, they aren't exactly "hard use" items. The neck where the head screws onto the body is a known failure/break point when struck with force. So if you game at all, be mindful of that.

That light is getting lots of attention right now. Already read about the weak neck. Perfect form factor. Don't plan on gaming. If it will hold up to standard abuse, that's good enough.

I think my next AR is going to go with a Keymod... Not sure what it is going to be but a 338 spectre is working its' way into my heart.

Took a hard 2 night class last summer. 3 students started with inforce lights. By the end of the night 2 were broken and the 3rd was so dim it wasn't worth anything. Inforce rep was there. Sent all 3 new lights. Good customer service. Don't know if the new ones were any better as all 3 sold them. 2 went back to surefire and the 3rd joined me on the Eagle-Tac bandwagon...

I like the concept and the form factor. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on it as it would be perfect for one of my SBR's

Only other thing holding me back is the battery. I've switched to 18650 rechargeables on all my weapons lights except my pistol lights. I wish someone would make a rechargeable CR-123 that was within spec to run in surefire 300's
