Seeing the few Bond movies where Pierce Brosnan used a Walther P99 didn't make me go buy one, but it made me look into them.  After doing my homework, I liked what I saw and got the one that I've had for 12 years now.

Finally, a guy who can spell French words correctly!

I can barely spell anything in English.

I know how to say je ne sais quoi, I know what it means, but I had to Google the spelling. :D

I've seen every Bond movie ever made and I have all the Flemming books on my tablet.

Die Hard didn't make me run out and buy a HK P7....but it sure did introduce to me the P7. I got a hard chrome P7M13 so maybe there was a little influence there and just not that it was first one I ran across when I could afford one.

I bought a decommissioned stirling smg frame to build a blaster for my tk, though it was just a decorative piece since it was far too heavy for parades and such.

Star Trek phaser.....it shot the little discs out of it. It was still cool even after you lost all the discs

All these decades later and no one can make a phaser?  What happened to technology?

After watching the first Terminator movie I went out and bought a phased plasma rifle in 40 watt range. Couldn't help it.

Clearly you didn't buy the brand he suggested.

That only works if the 338 Lapua ricochets off of special mall walls, and you have to be uber ninja qualified.

My other book/ movie inspired rifle is a 45-70 double rifle. Inspired by all the African hunters and explorers in books and movies over the years.

Movies have sold a lot of firearms.
I find it ironic as the film industry are the most anti second Ammendment people on earth.

Smith and Wesson were delighted at the Dirty Harry movies.
Importers loved Enemy at the Gates, it sold a LOT of Mosins.
Boondock Saints sold a fair share of 92's
No telling how many John Wayne is responsible for.
