  1. 1. Would you do a personalized TGO license plate?

I voted yes even though I don't live in TN now. Would this be a vanity style front plate or tn.gov sanctioned rear plate?

Either way would be super cool.

an actual license plate.  seems the process takes a bit but it looks pretty straight-forward on the dmv site to submit a request.  just get some people to get an initial order, design it and send it in for approval.

I have to vote no since I have handicap tags and you can't get custom tags in my county if you have handicap plates.

Thanks

switch to a placard!  I had to do that since my disability is not service-connected, I was unable to get a disabled vet tag (understandably) and vet tags sometimes get freebies for speeding. *wink wink*

I don't remember how many people it takes to get a custom license plate ordered but I do think the cause represented has to be a non-profit.

If the charity thing is true, that's a load of crap.  They're all about making money, they should let anyone design something as long as it meets whatever etiquette standards they have.

Yeah sure...whatever. I'm still hopin' for a cool TGO ball cap. kickcan.gif

Love the emoticon!  That looks like me after I don't get what I want.

Interesting idea, and I like it. But isn't that just like the window decals? I mean you're still advertising that you might have a gun in the car/truck.

Where did that thread go? Can't find it any longer.

I think I read when I checked on the NRA tags, they had to have 1000 preordered. I didn't preorder so I am somewhat past 400 over that.

As much as I love TGO I have no interest in telling the world that there may be a gun in my vehicle for the taking.  However if they ever get anymore of those free Bernie Sanders stickers I would like to get one of those for my truck because it's a well known fact that people that have Bernie stickers on their car have never worked hard enough to have anything nice.

I voted no -- I don't put "I have a gun" stuff anywhere.   Call it paranoia or whatever, but the answer is still no

I generally never put anything on my vehicle that would hint that I am carrying guns, for the same reasons that I never open-carry. But I was one of the first to sign up for the NRA license plate and it has produced very positive results on at least 6 different occasions. I recommend getting an NRA plate and buying more TGO gear like hats, shirts, or an upgraded membership.

It's not paranoia, it's called low-vis, and I practice it as well.

I'll pass. It is a cool idea but I wont do it for the same reason I dont put an EOD or Air Assault sticker, or Army crap or a Ranger vanity plate on my vehicles...you make yourself a soft target by broadcasting that sort of stuff.

Sorry, I wouldn't do it, NRA stickers, or the like. They have a way of saying, " If you're looking to steel a gun Break into me first "

I prefer to remain a wolf in sheep's clothing.....or in my case....a rooster suit.

Edit to add...but if I happened to see you broke down on the road this would be a guaranteed way to get my assistance. Edited by AtomicRooster

This is why I stopped sticking an FOP placard on my vehicles and don't put any gun related stickers on them. No identifiers or attention getters at all. BTW...nice little dig at the Bernie camp...lol
