If you post something and people PM you or post to your classified about it can you please respond? Even if to say not interested in selling to you.

Confusing question. You can't run a classified anyway.

Assuming you become a Benefactor and do, you can certainly respond to people any way you choose. You can refuse to sell to anyone you like for any reason.

If that's the question you're asking.

I can appreciate his issue.  I also find it frustrating when someone posts something for sale and you get no response (albeit, I can't say I have had that issue on TGO).  Even it if is already sold, a simple "sorry, it is sold" response is nice.  I always try to respond to every PM or email until I can get it marked a SPF.

I myself have been slow a few times to reply. Ive even missed a couple, it happens but he's got a valid point, you should take the time to reply with something. I'd rather be told to piss off than be ignored.

You can see if the recipient has read your pm too by the way, upper left corner of the screen will give a time or 'not yet read'. Edited by Caster

Yeah I was more irritated that someone posts something and there is no response when interest was shown in the item. It wasn't just me based on a couple of posts on the thread.

I am over it now. Just needed to vent. I'll move on to find something else to spend my money on.

Just understand that there are a lot of people here who dislike technology and don't check the site or their emails as most of us addicts do.

Are you calling me an addict? Just because I seem to be here several times a day. Every dang day. And can't stop wondering what item I didn't get to buy. Or what thread I missed chiming in on.

I am not an addict. I just have no friends and nothing else to do.

I'd be happy to take you to a 12 stepper if you need. I hear they serve free donuts and coffee.

They're not free, unless I've been going to the wrong TGO coffee meets.

O dear Lord, no. I'm fat enough now. Donuts are my downfall...there's a Shipley's Donuts about 2 miles away. Fresh, hot apple fritters and unglazed cake donuts. I Need some Now...

I agree with Spurge being miffed.  If some posts something for sale and I take time to PM them  or ask a question that anyone with interest, then common courtesy is that they respond.  There are people who don't respond to low ball offers and I can understand that, though I respond to everyone when I post something for sale.

Yep! The one and only!

Had to be! I gained many a cavity from them. And probably a few pounds as well. Actually, in those days I was about 170. Damn. That's many pounds ago.

My favorite is the red velvet with cream cheese frosting. Maple frosted with nuts is killer too. The have a PB&J! But who doesn't love their honey twist or fritters?!? Hell, I'm going tomorrow now that I listed all that!!

Good luck to you. I haven't been there in so long I really can't remember the last time I was there.

But I do have a favorite memory of Ralph's.

In the mid 60's, a buddy of mine, his little brother and I were going to the Princess(really dating myself now. Old walk in theater back up on Broad)to see a movie. I remember it well. A true classic...The Green Slime.

We decide to grab a couple of donuts to sneak in. Well, we had a little time to kill, so we sat and had milkshakes and chocolate eclairs or three, and decided the fresh baked bread smelled wonderfully good.

So we bought a couple loaves and shoved them under our shirts. Real sneaky like. Ya know.

All was going well, until...we pulled out that bread and started eating.

You could smell it all over the theater. lol

We were asked to dump the bread or leave. So we just dumped it in the trash and sat to watch one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Well now, remember the shakes and eclairs I mentioned? Got so sick I thought I was gonna die. I don't recommend that combination.

Or maybe it was the French bread that put me over the top, as it were.

Ok...next time I'm in the big city; I have to make a nostalgia run to Ralph's.

Wonder if the giant twists are still on the menu?

Make it a Saturday or Sunday and Monkey and I will meet you.

They don't make bread anymore, and I'm not sure about a giant twist. Ralph passed away and left it to his kids. His daughter and son in law bought out the brother and they own it. When my friend and I have out "city time" we always do the same routine. We go to lunch and then Ralph's. We always sit on the same two stools, order too many, share them and admire the ol farts who bring in their own styrofoam cups. Milkshakes aren't an option either. Coffee, milk or pop. That's it. I wish they made bread, I bet it would be amazing!!

You ever run into a guy named Kenneth? If so, he's my FIL. He's a daily regular there along with Mini Burger on Willow.
