Are my arrows correct?

Hello, new bow owner here, excited to get started and learning. Slightly confused on my arrows and want to make sure I do this safely.

I purchased the bow and arrows at Cabelas and they cut the arrows to 32" (throat of nock to socket) to accommodate my 31" draw length.

The tag on my compound bow says draw weight was set to 70.5. (I'm still looking for a good manual or video on adjusting this).

Using the chart on the back of my Gold Tip arrows, i see for 32" arrows at 70.5 lbs my spine should be 250. But the Cabelas guy sold me 340 (less stiff).

Does 250 sound correct or am I missing something?

What's the best way to buy arrows online?

The tag says 70.5, but did the sales clerk at Cabelas tune it and turn down the poundage by any chance? I would get a cheap bow scale and check your actual draw weight before I made any changes. 32" is a long arrow, so he may not of accounted for the extra stiffness needed Edited February 10, 2016 by Wingshooter

Thanks WingShooter. 70.5 is handwritten, so I thought that was based on tuning by the tech at Cabelas. Guses that could habe been when it left the factory? That said, I'm going to take your suggestion and find a scale to check. I may tune it down a bit anyway so I can focus on form with less draw weight initially.

Has anyone ordered arrows online and have any recommended vendors? Or brick and mortar in the Nashville area.

It is a bit of drive from Nashville, but the guys at Dickson Sportsman's Store are great to work with.  

 

I used to build all of my own arrows and tuned my bow.  It was a process, and I just don't have time anymore.  

 

DSS has a couple of guys that are really good.  You will pay a little bit of a premium, but not unreasonable.

The Archery Den in Franklin is where I bought my bow and get all arrows. Easy drive from Nashville and they are a good group of guys.

Keep in mind that if you order them you will have to cut them to length.  I've been out of archery for a while but I always liked the Red Head carbon arrows from Bass Pro.  They were a good balance of value and quality, they could have changed since then though.
