No more Facebook gun sales

Not surprised. I was under the impression that Facebook would no longer allow the advertisement/promotion of firearms, even if the actual sale takes place outside of Facebook.

The media was reporting dealers OK (i.e. private sales banned) but come to think of it, I have not seen an actual policy statement from FaceCrap.

They killed at least two company pages today.

Just FYI Kentucky Gun Co's Facebook page is back up.

I think every C&R in the country should start posting.  We *are* licensed to buy for our own collection.

I actually think there are people reporting these groups to Facebook.  Not employees, just every day panty-wetters who click the report button

So every group has a report button? (I'm not on FB so I don't know)  If that's true then I'm gonna sign up on FB and click the report button on every libtard socialist group.  Beware all you gun grabbing, global warming, transvestite commies... I'm turning you in! :bat:

All the pages I have been following in the Knoxville area have been taken down. A bigger thing is how many will reach out to Facebook and complain about removing something that drew me to Facebook. Yes they have every right in setting their rules. I just want them to know they have lost a customer. If enough speak out change does happen.

That and everyone else who is a member should delete their account, see if they care enough to put their money where their mouth is.  Less member numbers equal less ad revenue.

Yep.  They drilled another.

Really, I don't think FB will care one way or another whether we leave.  They are pushing a social agenda, and bluntly, we are the enemy, and we are what they think is wrong with the earth.

Wow

It is great to know there will be no more poverty, no more single parenthood, all diseases cured, everyone eats and has housing. We are going to live in a perfect utopia because of guns not being able to be sold on facebook. There will be no more violence or thugs in places like Memphis killing each other and decent people.  (sarcasm)

I was on FB for about 2 months for a specific purpose, to locate a long lost cousin, which I did. Then I got off. FB is ridiculous, with all the crap on there, serial posters, etc. Never attempted to buy or sell anything.

I'd rather go to the gun show to sell where everyone is honest, dressed neat, smells good, pays top dollar, & takes you to dinner

 afterward. ( Kidding ).

Does that still exist?? I've been hearing about this new MeWe thing...

They're still around. I was on there about 10 years ago then everyone went to FB.
How about Weibo? It's the Chinese equivalent to FB. I'm sure they'd love people trying to sell guns on there! :D

FB is publicly traded...if traffic dropped by say even 10% wouldn't that likely translate to a pretty significant thing? And of course if the reason for it were clear, would send a real message.

Nope. Your dealing with special snowflakes who believe their cause is just and people like you (and me) are purely evil and not the true spirited SJW that make things all better for everybody.

So, I've gone ahead and staked some land on Gun District for TGO.   As of yet we have not been kicked off of Facebook, but if it happens I am likely going to just abandon Facebook entirely.

Anyway.... here's our Gun District page.

https://gundistrict.com/TNGunOwners

Went there but didn't poke around too much, care to enlighten me on what it is?  Looks like a collection of other gun related sites, what makes it different than just being here on TGO?

It's just social media.  It's not a replacement for TGO.

Hmm, I was under the impression that TGO was social media as well.  I don't do Facebook, twitter etc., so maybe I am just missing the nuances between the two.  Oh well, I'll stick to forums.

Doesn't help.  Somehow the Liberal groups get found to not violate whereas constitutive group almost always loss.

In THEORY Social Media is meant to be board far reaching and not topic specif.  Whereas TGO is meant to be based around a Topic "Gun" granted we can go off into a wide range of topics on the forum however the forum purpose is to talk about Guns.  To me the difference the Topic orientation of forums that don't make it social media.

Thanks
