Looking for someone to work on a Ruger 22/45

I'm looking for a gunsmith or enthusiast in or around Murfreesboro to install some upgrades on my Ruger 22/45. I ordered the Volqartsen Accurizing Kit and TK Bushing. Any suggestions on a reasonable but reliable person?

It is not hard to do, I've done several.  You don't need any special tools and there are several you tube videos that give you a step by step how to.  If you can take down a MK I, II or III pistol and get the mainspring assembly back in without full use of every available curse word you can do this.  Once you've mastered mainspring removal and reinstall it's really fun to work on these pistols.  Having said all that I'm not from the Murfreesboro area.  I would be happy to help you do it but I'm about an hour plus from your area.

Youtube is your friend.  I watched a couple of vids and easily installed everything myself.

I've looked at a few YouTube videos and I'm still not quite sure it's something I want to tackle myself. I'm not the most mechanically inclined, so I'd rather either have someone available to assist or pay someone to do it.

I did my 22/45 upgrades myself with youtube as well.

Lebanon Gun Shop has a resident gunsmith but if I was in Murftown I'd ask around at Outpost Armory.

If you are ever headed up to Clarksville let me know ahead of time, I suspect I have done at least 20 of those for various people just to see them go "wow!"   They got the parts I put them in for free.

this is a very DIY activity; I am not very mechanical either and I managed it.  So *any* gunsmith should be able to do it for you easily.  

 

I'd help you if you came this way or there are a few smiths around Chattanooga if you can't find one you like where you are. 

 

When you do it,  adjust the trigger slowly and carefully with a snap cap or something.  If you get all the slack out, you often end up unable for the trigger to reset, so you have to back off a little and have just a touch of wiggle in most guns.   Once its set up in both directions and the gun functions, lock the screws down.
