Dirty Guns... WTF????

I honestly think there is a large percentage of people out there who are too stupid to clean a gun, I had a guy show me how he cleaned his guns, he took a cleanex tissue tied a nylon string around it & pulled it through the bore 2 maybe 3 times & said that about does it.:)

I have a friend that never figured out how to field strip his S&W 4043. It never came with a manual so he never learned how to field strip it. He's shot over 500 rounds through it, and he cleans it by shoving pipe cleaners up into the barrel. I offered to print him a manual out, and I showed him how the gun broke down on my computer screen. He said it looked to hard, and to not worry about printing it. He'd keep doing what he was doing. :)

I had a certain vendor at the nashville show (I'm relatively certain he's actually a pawn shop from all the junk on the tables) hand me a hi point carbine once that was actually rusted (i didn't know a hi point could rust!) and so gummed up I had to force the bolt open, then force it back closed again. He wanted $200 for it (they were like $239 new), and wouldn't budge a bit.

Mine told me of being stationed on Okinawa cutting thompson machine guns into pieces after WWII. :P

What I've read and heard about how soldiers treated those fine old rifles just blows my mind! Didn't have any consideration at all for us enthusiasts 50 or 60 years later.

If the price is right…. I know how to clean guns. :P

I have made a couple of good deals on great guns because they were all dirty.
