Hunting in the morning

What do y'all think about hunting thursday morning after this system blows through? Do y'all reckon the deer will move or stay bunkered down. I heard the winds near my hunting area is gonna be blowing at about 11mph on and off. But the wind direction is pretty stable. Scattered showers here and there. Or do you think it might be a better idea to wait until Friday morning? The thing is, i would like to get a start to go back into the woods before the weekend when the pressure increases.

There is one thing for certain when it comes to movement...nothing is certain! Talked to my brother-in-law on Sunday at Church and his schedule would only allow for him to go out on Monday...cold...snowing and sleeting...winds around 10-15 mph...I thought it would be a lost cause until I heard his gunshot around 8:30...he had 3 bucks walk out in front of him and he bagged a 10 point...good mass and great size! We stayed out the rest of the day and saw nothing. I went out on Tuesday morning...clear...cold....winds relatively calm until around 10:00 am...it was a ghost town! I say load up the truck and good luck!

I love to hunt in the rain and cold and on windy days. Especailly when you can get near the bedding area. I just still-hunt into the corridor between bed and food area. Its amazing how close you can get to them when you are careful. Matter of fact I'm heading out this afternoon to do just that!

Well....i didn't go this morning. I figured with the way the storm was in town that i should wait until it blows over. It was really rough last night. Oh well.... there is one bright side and that is the forecast for this weekend should be nice :D. I am loading the truck tonight and heading out friday morning! Good luck to all

Good Luck to ya. I won't be able to go this weekend. I have family coming into town tonight and we are doing our Christmas over the weekend, plus my beautiful wife had sinus surgery yesterday and I will be home tending to her. So....no woods for me. Maybe some squirrel hunting in the morning out here at my Mom's house.

Everyday in the rut is good when its possible, just sometimes are better than others. Watch the moon phase.

It's kinda like the TN lottery. If you don't buy a ticket you're not gonna win. If you don't go hunting your not gonna kill anything.
