R.I.P David Bowie

I just heard that Rock Star, David Bowie, died. He was definitely an odd guy, but seemed to mellow out and tone it down as he got older. He put out some good music though.

I saw a western movie he was in not too long ago, he played a bad guy gunfighter, he did a pretty good acting job in that movie, I enjoyed it.

Bowie was a unique artist. His various "personalities" such as Ziggy Stardust and Aladin Sane were very unique musically. I still enjoy his music. RIP Major Tom.

He hired SRV to tour and record with him for a little while. Stevie is playing guitar in "let's dance" but any SRV fan would already know that. Didn't care for much of his music but he had fantastic taste in guitarists.

He seemed a bit odd although I suspect that a lot of that was more theater than reality.  Whatever the case there, he put out some great music and truly influenced modern music and (I believe) the idea of rock concerts that were/are as much about the spectacle of seeing the live performance, special effects and so on as about the music.

Bowie was a great artist. His influence still carries in today's music. He will be missed.
