That's me. All decked out for Africa... never thought of a lever action for game over there, but it might be fun.

I read an article of someone who took a Marlin 1895 and buffalo bore ammo in .45/70 and took each of the big 5 over there including elephant.

That's a little light for Elephant or buffalo, but it hits the minimum requirements so why not. It'd play hell with light skinned game like lion or leopard.

That is so cool.

My Henry 45-70 is the steel.

I am still waiting to run so rounds through it though.

I bought a case of Leverevolution in 325 grain and a case of 250 grain.

My thought is i could use it for most all my hunting needs?

We shall see.
