Ok just wondering came across a blog article today which featured him. Front and center in the opening paragraph .......also known as Hickok 45 explains. Is it just me or was putting his real name out there less than appropriate?

Also, it's common enough for articles to use the "also known as" line instead of deferring to a screen name or YouTube handle.

They gave his name and address plus a resume.  I don't think it was a good idea in this day and age, but privacy is a thing of the past.

Putting someones address into a story/post would be bad form.  City and state is normal, but the actual street address would be taking it too far.

Personally I think TGO has beat this into the ground.  I'm also pretty sure that were I him, I wouldn't necessarily want my info out there on the Internet.  I'm not e-famous the way he is, but it's been done to me because of TGO and it really pissed me off.

 

Not that the information about either of us isn't readily accessible to the people who want to dig, but when people on TGO, blogs, Facebook and other social outlets just beat the issue to death, it does nothing BUT draw more attention to it.  You guys might as well light up a spotlight and swing it on his house at this point, because that's effectively what all of these threads are doing.
