Overall he praised her courage and then turned it into a "but guns in the house are dangerous for kids" statement. That's pretty typical from a liberal who gets pinned to the wall.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I thought she stole the show during that event.  If her story and passion about defending her family can't resonate with those indifferent or on the fence with this issue, nothing will.   She's an excellent face to put forward for a gun rights argument.

yep, and his response was cold.  No tears, no compassion, and extra stupid to boot.  Between his lack of compassion and his crappy response, this should bite him.   If I were trump, I would turn that into an epic ad for my campaign.

I don't think cold is the right term.  He probably hasn't had a question that unfriendly to his agenda at a public event since the 2008 election. The way I saw it, he wasn't expecting it, and had to improv (not his natural strength) his way out of it.  So, where you see cold, I saw him just trying to get back on topic and not step on his feet doing so.

I'm also wondering how a person like Kimberly was able to ask a question like that.  Either the event wasn't screened in favor of the gun control side like people assumed it would be, or it was done so very poorly...otherwise Kimberly wouldn't even have been in the room let alone allowed to ask a question.

They were screening the questions, I think she took advantage of the situation and changed it.  Could you imagine what would have happened if they cut her off in the middle?  If you watch him, you can see he's getting frustrated because that was one of the most articulate throat punches he has suffered in front of the camera by someone who couldn't be just written off as a right wing conspiracy theorist profiting from the NRA.

The NRA didn't show up because they said they would only be allowed to ask a single pre-screened question, so I know for sure they were screening.

Good for her for coming forward. Of course Obama doesn't care about the victims of crime.

From the article

"she said she still suffers symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome."

Bad move Kim.... you've admitted to a mental issue.   Under Obama's EO, the FBI will be by soon to take your guns. :hiding:
