They let me in Tennessee

Recommended Posts

That's right, a Kentucky native has bought a house in Tennessee.  I found out I had to change my blood type to UT orange before I could sign the papers on the house, but I've still got a couple UK t-shirts that haven't been confiscated.  :ugh:

I am relatively new to CC and recently got my Tennessee CCP.  I have only lurked on here for a couple of hours and already have a sense of a great community and knowledge.  I hope I can contribute something someday, I am the least of these and I am picking the meat and spitting out the bones.  Don't know a lot about guns, don't know a lot about tactics, and don't know much about ammunition so please take it easy on me if my questions seem elementary.  I have served in the Military, was praised by drill sergeants for my marksmanship, but many years have gone by since then.  I don't like KNOW IT ALLS, And keyboard jockeys that read something on forum A and are a expert with experience on forum B.  I am not one of those!  I will share my experiences but won't claim to be a expert unless I want you hurt then I will be glad to give you expert advice :hat:

Thanks for a great forum in a great State, in a Great Country.   Look forward to our friendship and like I said, hopefully I can contribute something positive here, until then I will be lurking and learning.

Tony

Welcome aboard. You headed south when you left Kentucky, so you did good.

BTW, those UK t-shirts will come in handy for cleaning guns.  :D

haha  I was wearing a UK t-shirt the day we closed on the house here in Tn.  The previous owner couldn't wait to hand me the key to my new home.  It was a BRIGHT ORANGE KEY WITH A "T" in the middle of it.  He told me I wasn't getting in the house with being a Tennessee fan.  :)

I do have some UT stuff though, my family all lives in Sevierville, so they always give me UT stuff for Christmas trying to convert me.  :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome.  I've already signed up for some tactical training.  I just don't want to be in a situation with only a 8 hour CC class and little bit of range time.  I may never need it and hope I don't but I think tactical training could help me keep me and my family more safe.
