Have any of you Ruger American Pistol owners taken out the firing control assembly yet ? If so what do you think of it ? I saw one out of the gun and it looked like it had quite a few pieces in it and kinda complex .

I have and to me it seemed like the most complex part of the insides was the parts that allow you to disassemble without dry firing. I don't have a problem with dry firing to field strip but some people do.

I was hoping that Ruger would have went with a design like Glock with very few parts. But it seems that they went the complex route. I do like the modular design but I hate the many parts in the firing assembly .

Were you able to shoot one when you were looking at them?

Yes .I created this thread because I got to shoot one at my LGS and made this whole thread about what I experienced.  I got to shoot 25 rds through it there. The trigger reset was horrible. I am hoping Ruger will improve it like S&W did with the M&P's .
