I decided I needed a new home defense gun. I wanted something easily maneuverable, good capacity and decent power. I ended up getting a FNH FNX-45. My future plans are Talon grips (fancy rubberized tape) and a Streamlight TLR-2G. It's a big gun, but fits comfortably in my hands.

I need to get another FN handgun some day. The only FN I have now is the FiveseveN but it's more of a short rifle and kind of strange to be in the handgun category. Your gun is beautiful!

I'm sure you will be happy with your new 45. Mine shoots great and has less recoil than my Glock 30. Very nice home defense weapon.

Good looking pistol. Although I'm not an FN fan. They don't seem to feel comfortable to me. This looks very good in the FDE.

Nice!  I have the older one, the FNP-45 USG, and I love it.  Big, yes, but lots of firepower and is my EDC.  You get used to the weight, lol.

Just looked at the Talon grips...Any feedback on these from current users?  The FNP-45 already has a pretty aggressive pistol grip texture.  The Talon rubber like grips sound kinda good tho...

To the OP--nice gun! It's next on my F'N list (pun intended)

 

I had the talons on my FNS-9 and FNS-9c. Talon makes a great product but on these guns, i prefer the factory finish. Grips are very subjective--you may love them.
