After reading the entire thread, I must be to set in my ways. I have a single stage RCBS single stage press with Lee dies. I have loaded approximately 6k rounds this past year. I know that that does not seem like a lot to some people with the turrent press, but it has keep me happy. Never looked to upgrade to the progressive press, even though it would be faster. I would recommend the single stage to any beginner or even to a well seasoned reloader to work up a load for any ammo.

I have the Lee Anniversary Kit that I bought last year and just got set up a few months ago. I use it for primarily for loading match loads for my '06 target rifle, though I am beginning to do my pistol ammo too as its getting hard to come by. For me, in most of my loads its about building an accurate round and not paying $30-50 a box. You definitely can build a more accurate round for less cost.

My Anniversary Kit has done everything I need it to in the short term and its given me no problems. I can't figure out how anyone could break one, I've never felt like I've even made it sweat (though I have..lol). Yes, I would like to upgrade the scale (haven't yet), and I did break down and buy a hand priming tool.
