CZ 75B Sights regulated to what bullet weight?

Hi guys,

My first post here with a question:

Have long been interested in getting a CZ 75B but have never been able to find out what bullet weight the stock fixed sights are regulated to.

Any ideas: 115, 124, or 147, it can't be all three.

I could get a CZ 85 Combat with the adjustable sights but I've heard they are a little flimsy.  Has anybody spent some time on a bench rest with a CZ 75B to figure this out.

Thanks!

Start with 124 grain, it's the NATO standard.  Since that is arguably the most widely available, it is a good chance that is what they used as a basis for the sights.

Being that CZ's are made in Europe I imagine they are sighted in for 124 gr. rounds...I don't know where these 115 grainers came from, most likely chiseling US accountants.

I wondered the same thing back when I first got into CZ pistols. At that time I didn't even know NATO had a 124 gr standard for 9mm, let alone that it mattered. I just knew that the test targets say they used S&B ammo and the only S&B ammo I could find was 115 gr, so that's what I shot.

It wasn't until I started reloading that I did any actual research. There are dozens of threads on the CZ forum about reloading 9mm specifically for CZs and they seem to agree that 124 gr is the best bullet weight. The weight isn't the only thing that matters though. I read that the rifling in the CZ barrels begin closer to the chamber than with many others, so OAL or the ogive matter a lot. Longer and/or fatter bullets will throw off your accuracy and increase pressure because the bullet sometimes touches the rifling when chambered and has no room to get moving before it starts spinning.
