Where to purchase ammo online

Yes i have Googled and looked around on the interwebs. Looking for a place that I don't have to pay tax or outrageous shipping on ammo. Gonna buy a case of 7.62x39 and probably some 9mm Gold Dots.

Sgammo gets my order most of the time.
I buy gold dot 9mm, mostly 124gr+p, and they keep many flavors in stock.

That's who I was looking at last night. I like the prices but I didn't check out shipping.

Target Sports USA is where I go. Free shipping on cases of ammo.

I'm not sure if every item they have is free shipping for 1,000. But I do know every time I buy something from them it is.

SG ammo pricing and shipping are very competitive. They are located in Oklahoma I usually take the insurance for cheap in case there is problems.

Lots of good experiences for me with SGAmmo. Also had no problems with Target Sports USA either, especially when buying in bulk.

This resource is a good start, select caliber, and then it will list the best deals by vendor:

http://gun-deals.com/ammo

This is where I usually start....

I just received a shipment from AmmunitionDepot.com, very happy. They had what I wanted at a fair price to the competition, and shipped it 8-hours after I placed the order, rec'd ground FedEx from Ohio 2-days later (*during Christmas holiday*)

Got 22's and 124 gr. 9's as well!

None of the vendors consistently best for everything.

AmmunitionDepot is in Fl, so shipping isn't too bad and they have excellent customer svce and quality offerings.

LuckyGunner is awesome, though they are in Knoxville, so you have to pay tax.  Someone else gave a thumbs up to Ammoman.  I've had good luck with them, though last time I checked they were partnered with LuckyGunner and you had to pay tax.

There are some names in this thread I haven't tried - will have to do so.

There's some good advice above. I'd add Graf and Sons to the list. They have a flat rate shipping charge whether you order one box or a tractor trailer load. $7.95 I believe it is.

Not going to blast any ammo seller, I might have to try that particular one someday. lol

I've used most of the major online sellers over the last few years, so these are my comments. They may not reflect what someone else has experienced. So...

I started out using Ammoman for bulk buys about 10 or so years ago. Always got good pricing on the case lots, and the service was good. Their prices include shipping, so it's very easy to figure per round costs with them.

WholesaleAmmoWarehouse is a good source as well, especially for the not so common calibers. Good service when I've used them, quick shipping. They are not always the cheapest, but usually market or below slightly below.

SGAmmo has been my recent favorite. Again very good service and shipping, and competitive pricing. Sometimes the lowest price, sometimes current market.

Graf&Sons have been as good as any other for me, I just don't seem to think of them quite as often though.

Best bet is just to search all you can. Find one of the finders services as well. They can lead to sources that maybe not as well known.

And get into the distributor lists, PSA, SlickGuns, etc. They sometimes will have good pricing as well.

Suprised no one mentioned PSA and their daily deals.

MidSouth Shooters also has sales all the time on ammo

Freedom Munitions - I am not a fan but theyre pretty good too

They do have a killer price on Blazer Brass in the MIGHTY .40 today.  ;)

Thing is their shipping prices sometimes take the joy out of ordering from them.
