Who Got A Gun For Christmas '15, Step Inside

SCCY 9mm stainless over FDE, and added the ArmaLaser. I bought from Classic Firearms on black Friday, for my wife to give me for Christmas :)

50 rounds FMJ, started out on target, then group opened up considerably. I wondered what was wrong - then the rear sight fell off.  Otherwise flawless. I reinstalled the sight with some Loctite for good measure. Plan to EDC this once I wring it out with carry ammo.

My girlfriend and I got a stainless over black for her son. He had his LC9 stolen. He loves the gun.

I picked up an older Marlin 336 in 35Rem and an older 3-screw Ruger Single Six 5.5" a few days before Christmas for myself :)

I gave the gift of Vortex optics to my dad, but no guns changed hands this year. Odd

Lots of great posts!

Where I live and where my mother-in-law lives (about 20 miles away), everyone must have gotten a gun.  I have heard gun shots all around, not just in one direction, and not close either at my place and hers.  Many many many gun shots, and semi autos.  Just now which triggered this post, I heard two gun shots about 2 min apart.  Either they were deer hunting, or just shooting, but it is Sunday morning 8am ish which is weird.

Its great to live in the country.  Wished I could have been making noise myself yesterday, but still having to do the family Christmas thing.  Maybe tomorrow if its still dry and not raining!

I'm heartened by the success of the SCCY 9mm as it was a straightforward simple design that should have worked perfectly from the get-go. When it didn't the manufacturer followed the lead of Hi-Point Arms and fixed the mess. It's not a beautiful gun but rather a utilitarian defensive tool. For those who follow the "truck gun" or "stash in the BOB" its an option worth considering for those on a budget.
