Installing a front sight insert

I've got a friend that has a Ruger revolver that had a plastic insert in the front sight that is missing.I've got some of the insert material to replace it.What would be good to use,some type of epoxy?

Yes make sure to rough up the glued surface with some 220 grit and degrease everything with electrical contact cleaner or brake cleaner. 20minute epoxy gives you a little more working time.

Ok, I knew if you buy the kit it comes with some type of glue to use, but I thought I'd ask if I could use epoxy.

Dolomite_Supafly posted a glow-in-the-dark epoxy recipe a good while back.

That's what I would fix it with.
